“On the path towards smart mobility: best practices from the three forerunner cities: Eindhoven, Manchester and Stavanger” is the title of a reviewed paper recently published by Marielisa Padilla and Sonja Stöffler from the University of Stuttgart. Marielisa, part of the Triangulum Coordination Team, shares in an interview some of the experiences and lessons learnt of the project so far and gives some insights into the paper.
The article talks about the latest developments in the demonstration areas of the three Triangulum Lighthouse Cities Eindhoven (NL), Manchester (UK) and Stavanger (NO), how these areas are being transformed into sustainable living environments, and the replication process of similar projects not only in the Triangulum Follower Cities but in any other city willing to invest in the field of sustainable and future-oriented mobility.
The article is part of a presentation at the 22nd International Conference on Urban Planning and Regional Development in the Information Society GeoMultimedia 2017, taking place in Vienna from 12-14 September 2017, published in the conference’s proceedings. The presentation takes place within the workshop “Measures for Smart Urban Environments” on 14th September 2017.
