Save the date for this year's Nordic Edge Expo and conference in Stavanger, Norway from 25-27 September 2018!
In just three years, Nordic Edge has established itself as the most significant Smart City event in the Nordics. From 500 participants in 2015 to 4500 visitors in 2017! This year's theme is "Smart with a heart." which emphasizes the quest that smart cities and societies are all about the citizens.
Join EU’s Horizon 2020 projects and cities at Nordic Edge Expo this year. 12 projects, 78 cities and their partners are invited to attend the H2020 day, Thursday 27th Stepember, to share insights from their projects, lessons learned and grow their network.
During the Lighthouse- and Follower cities event, there will be one public session, and one internal session. In the public session we invite anyone with interest in the projects to attend. We believe it’s equally important to use this arena to meet and discuss with your peers, so we’re developing targeted internal sessions for the different task groups.
Also, the Horizon 2020 SCC1 projects will be represented at a joint booth together with SCIS during all three days. Come visit us!

SCC1 Safari and social get-together on Wednesday afternoon
- Explore the impact of Triangulum in Stavanger. On this Triangulum safari, we’ll visit the local demonstrations in Stavanger and hear from the projects in the three cities of Triangulum. The safari ends in an informal networking get-together with finger food and drinks. Starting right after the SCC1 task force meetings around 3 PM.

- On 24th September, from 4:30 - 6:30 PM, EUROCITIES will host a ‘Mayors Debate’ on citizen engagement and smart cities (open to mayors and politicians, by invitation only), moderated by EUROCITIES secretary general, Anna Lisa Boni. - On 25th September, from 11 to 12:30 AM, the plenary sessions will include a political debate on "How do we connect with our citizen's dreams when building smarter cities?" moderated by EUROCITIES secretary general, Anna Lisa Boni at the main stage. Read more
- On 25th September, from 2 to 5 PM, as a side session to the ‘Meet the new lighthouse cities’ event, EUROCITIES is organising a replication workshop, which will be open to all city experts. Read more

This event will gather local and national authorities, representatives from the European Commission and INEA, and experts involved in city transformation strategies from its different perspectives, covering smart city approaches, re-naturing of cities, circular economy or successful histories of innovation ecosystems setting the citizen at the centre of the city regeneration towards more sustainable and more liveable environments.
Co-organised by the EU funded projects R2CITIES, CITyFiED, REMOURBAN, UrbanGreenUp and mySMARTLife, this event will gather local and national authorities, representatives from the European Commission and INEA, and experts involved in city transformation strategies from its different perspectives, covering smart city approaches, re-naturing of cities, circular economy or successful histories of innovation ecosystems setting the citizen at the centre of the city regeneration towards more sustainable and more liveable environments. The programme will show keynote speakers, panel debates, smart sessions, technical visits and it will be complemented with a programme of activities for the citizens and the general public across the city. In parallel, the Enterprise Europe Network is organising a brokerage which will allow attendees establishing networks and creating new partnerships and projects.

A catalyst for driving social and economic sustainability in cities across the European Union, the EIP-SCC Marketplace brings its 2018 General Assembly to Sofia, Bulgaria, 27-28 June. This year’s event debuts an onsite matchmaking programme designed to stimulate investment in civic improvements, bringing city and industry representatives seeking support for projects together with motivated investors.
Other General Assembly 2018 highlights include the latest smart city trends, best practices and success stories presented by some of the brightest minds from the public and private sectors.
